Autumn has arrived in Norway, and time is running very fast. More than
three months have passed since we met in Maastricht. I spent alot of time
with the MHPE assignments 5, 7 & 8 beside my full-time work at the
neonatal ward. I still have to catch up assignment 1 in unit 7.

You proposed an "algorithm" for a hierarchy coding structure processing
for my data analysis. Ethnographic coding in this study works as a tool
for identifying categories and sub-categories to find relationships with
axial coding. After finding the core categories I can integrate them by
coding them selectively, then using triangulation to confirm and enhance
credability. I should then iterate to develop a "grounded theory" (Glaser
& Strauss, 1967). This theory is connected to the real world and gives
explanation for patterns of behavior that are relevant for the residents
and supervisors involved. Through identification of significant categories
and their relationships these explanations become theoretically complete.
This approach seems to fit into the purpose of my research thesis.
Anyway, I have to make a time plan to work on my thesis proposal while
beiing heavily involved in unit 8 at the same time.
